Community Manager at Yelp.com: bridging the gap between online and offline communities. Whether it’s helping business owners join in the conversation happening about their business, or connecting yelpers who share similar interests, I’m all about connecting people to great local businesses. Between penning the Weekly Yelp newsletter and organizing Yelp’s marketing initiatives, I’m exploring Vancouver and having fun at the Yelp Elite Events (I organize those too).

Prior to Yelp, I started Polished Promotions (said goodbye to the website last year). My clients were typically small business owners or sole entrepreneurs in need of advice, marketing ideas, copywriting and project management and implementation help.

Mix a degree in Communication from Simon Fraser University (which taught me how to learn on my feet, think quickly and often and evolve) with a good helping of work experience (sales, business development, recruitment, makeup artistry, retail merchandising and promotions) and voila – there you have the marketing girl.
